Create a DSM Report to display BIOS information

Issue/Introduction

Is it possible to run a Report that shows system BIOS information like BIOS version, vendor, etc?

Resolution

• In the DSM Explorer go to the Tools menu and select DSM Reporter.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• In the DSM Reporter, right-click "Report Templates" and select "New Report Template".
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Select "Asset or User report". Click OK.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Give a desired name to the report.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Go to the "Fields" tab and click on the "Add" button. The FieldBrowser window pops up.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• In the 'FieldBrowser' window select 'Inventory' in the left pane. In the right pane expand System->System BIOS and the desired fields. Click OK. Click OK to save the report.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Right-click the report and choose 'Run Report'. This report can also be exported to CSV format to view in Excel.
