Description:
The "Agent Name" and "Registered to Server" fields are grayed out under DSM properties on an Agent. What is the cause of this behavior?

Solution:
If the "Agent Name" and "Registered to Server" fields are grayed out, it means that the agent is managed by a centralized configuration policy.
To check the settings applied to the agent, check the following configuration policy:
Open the DSM Explorer and drill down to Control Panel->Configuration policy->Default Computer Policy->DSM->Agent->Common Agent->Common?>Scalability Server as shown in the screenshot below.
The below screenshot indicates that the agent is Centrally Managed and therefore, the "Agent Name" and "Registered to Server" entries are Grayed out on the agent.
