Issue/Introduction

Description

Can we specify both the INITSIZE and SIZE parameters on our CF structure definitions to allow the structure to grow from the INITSIZE value up to the SIZE value? Can a structure REBUILD be performed using SETXCF START, REBUILD?

Solution

CF structure growth from INITSIZE to SIZE (both specified as 1k entities in the CFRM policy) is transparent to applications and supported by CA Datacom.
A structure REBUILD, assigning a new size to the CF structure, is not supported. MUF would have to be recycled to work with the re-built structure.
However, a shadow MUF does not connect to the CF until it enters full MUFPLEX mode; i.e. usually during MIGRATE_TO_SHADOW processing. A REBUILD is therefore possible as long as the shadow is only in stand-by mode.
