Issue/Introduction

When attempting to configure the JBOSS installation for clustering, but before implementing the change, attempting to start the ALL node of JBOSS and IDM is failing to start.

ERROR [org.jboss.ejb.EjbModule] unexpected exception stopping Container: jboss.j2ee:jndiName=clustering/HTTPSession,service=EJB java.lang.NullPointerException

Resolution

This specific error in the "All" node log occurs right after JBoss is attempting to stop:
ERROR [org.jboss.ejb.EjbModule] unexpected exception stopping Container: jboss.j2ee:jndiName=clustering/HTTPSession,service=EJB java.lang.NullPointerException

This problem is usually the result of having custom Jar files configured at the time of the clustering configuration.

To resolve this issue:
Copy any custom .JAR files from the Default LIB directory to the ALL LIB directory.
