Issue/Introduction

Description:

Directions on putting a customized report on the Service Desk Reports tab.

This document makes the assumption that you as the end user already know how to create custom reports within CABI (CA Boxi).

This document is only for the purpose of assisting you in making your custom reports available through CA Service Desk.

CA Support can not assist you in creating custom reports. The custom sample is strictly a sample for the purposes of showing you how to make the custom report available through CA Service Desk.

Solution:

The Reports tab in Service Desk allows you to pull from the packaged reports and change out which reports are displayed on this tab. If you have created your own Web Intelligence report, you may want this to be available to your users for display on the Service Desk Reports tab.

Login to InfoView (either through the Reports Tab or from Start/Programs)
Go to New/Web Intelligence (WebI) Document:

Highlight and copy the contents of the Resource field

Now create a new Web Form for the Report we just created, and PASTE the Resource field from the previous Web Form. We will have to edit the Resource field to accommodate the new folder info and doc name for our newly created report. Note the 'Type' will also have to be set to 'Report':
