Issue/Introduction

Execute Easytrieve r11 application on Unix AIX 5.3 failed with EZT error message "ezt: as: Can't find file."

Easytrieve Report Generator, AIX environment

Resolution

The "as: can't find file" messages might appear when the "ezt" command is executed. This message means that the Easytrieve compiler can't find the program "as".

You must specify the directory containing the "as" and the "ld" programs within a PATH, a LIBPATH and a EZTPATH statement as environment variables.
The directory with the programs "as" and "ld" may be found in /usr/ccs/bin.
