Issue/Introduction

Description:

Does CA have any documentation on IBM TS3500 or IBM 3494 library support?

Solution:

The IBM TS3500 is the tape robot for IBM TS7700. There is nothing to configure for the IBM TS3500 as such.

The BVIR interface is extracting information from both the IBM TS7700 and the IBM TS3500. Information about the IBM TS3500 will also appear in the "IBM Tape Libraries" object and the "IBM Tape Library volumes" object.

The IBM TS3500 must be defined as ?LIBRARYENTRIES" in the catalog, and the volumes on it must be defined as "VOLUMEENTRIES".

The IBM Tape Library Objects are reading the catalog only.
