How to map Security Roles to users and groups for the SiteMinder test application for NetWeaver 7.1?

Issue/Introduction

Description:

Attempting to map Security Roles to users and groups for the SiteMinder test application (TestAppSecurityRole) as described in Agent Guide for SAP Web AS (r5.6 SP4).

"Test the Installation and Configuration of SiteMinder Agent for SAP WebAS" and Agent for SAP Web AS Guide (r12.0):

"Configure the Test Application"

I don't find how to follow the steps as described when using NetWeaver 7.1.

More, it seems that NetWeaver 7.1 this functionality is deprecated:

"If you have mapped your security roles to groups or users, you will only be able to view this mapping in the User based mapping option -> Group names or User names. However, this mapping is deprecated and will not be possible in SAP NetWeaver 7.1."

How could I set them?

Solution:

With SAP NetWeaver 7.1, the Visual Administrator tool using has been phased out and has been replaced by the SAP NetWeaver Administrator. Refer these URL's:

The configuration may be achieved by accessing:

http://<server-name>:<SAP<http://%3cserver-name%3e:%3cSAP> Port number>/nwa

and then go to:

NWA: Configuration Management -> Security -> Authentication -> Components tab -> Template SAP-J2EE-Engine in the List of Policy Configuration panel.
