Description:
NSM integration is installed by default in R 12.1 but we are not using NSM and don't need this integration. I also see the below error messages in the log:
09/11 07:45:31.01 <servername> pdm_d_mgr 36496 ERROR daemo n_obj.c 1821 Daemon ehc died: restarting 09/11 07:45:31.01 <servername> pdm_d_mgr 36496 SIGNIFICANT mgr_s lump_if.c 1050 Starting: $NX_ROOT/bin/ehc_nxd 09/11 07:45:31.03 <servername> proctor_dnvr-caap 42440 SIGNIFICANT pdm_p rocess.c 440 Process Started (27776):Q:/CA/SERVIC~1/bin/ehc_nxd 09/11 07:47:33.02 <servername> pdm_d_mgr 36496 SIGNIFICANT daemo n_obj.c 2921 Waited 120 seconds for ehc to connect to slump. Solution:
You can follow the below procedure to remove NSM integration from Service Desk 12.1:
Warning: Take a back up of the pdm_startup file before you try this.
[ procset MAIN_PROCSET] pdm_info sw_ver_ctl bpnotify_nxd PDMBASE PDMBOP FILTERING
Type a semicolon (;) to comment out FILTERING (ONLY).
Moving backwards towards the top of the file, you should see the following text:
[ procset FILTERING ] tngfilter tngwriter ehc ; UNICNV_REPLACE ; tngcnv:NT_ONLY
Type a semicolon (;) before tngfilter, tngwriter and ehc in the above section and save the changes and restart the services.
You should now not see any of the NSM integration processes starting when you type in pdm_status.
