Issue/Introduction

Description:

Wake-on-LAN (WOL) prior to distributing a package.

Solution:

If a package is sent to an agent which is switched off, the system is woken-up automatically using Wake-on-LAN (WOL).

This is controlled by the configuration parameter DSM->Software Delivery->Scalability server->JobCheck:Disable Wake-on-Lan.

By default, this is set to 'False' which means for each package delivery, a WOL packet is sent to the target automatically if the target is not up. If this automatic action is not desirable, then this value should be set to 'True' which will disable Wake-on-LAN (WOL).

Note: A machine can also be woken-up from the DSM Explorer. An option 'Power-up Computer' is present in the machine's Homepage under Quick Launch.
