Is it possible to use Microsoft SQL Express as a Notification Manager database with Automation Point?

Resolution

NO, we do not support MS SQL Express.

A Notification Manager Database requires an instance of Microsoft SQL Server.

The following versions of Microsoft SQL Server can be installed on a server class operating system such as Windows 2003:

• 2000 Enterprise Edition (32-bit) with Service Pack 4 or higher.
• 2000 Standard Edition (32-bit) with Service Pack 4 or higher.
• 2005 Enterprise Edition (32-bit) with Service Pack 2 or higher.
• 2005 Workgroup Edition (32-bit) with Service Pack 2 or higher.
• 2005 Standard Edition (32-bit) with Service Pack 2 or higher.

The following versions of Microsoft SQL Server can be installed on a client class operating system such as Windows XP:

• 2005 Workgroup Edition (32-bit) with Service Pack 2 or higher.
• 2005 Standard Edition (32-bit) with Service Pack 2 or higher.

Note: Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 is no longer supported with release 11.2.
