Issue/Introduction

Enterprise Manager(EM) Upgrade on Node A:

  • Make sure that Node A is active and all the required cluster resources are assigned to it.

  • Open the cluster administrator and take the CCS Services offline from the cluster.

  • Make sure that all the services that can access MDB are stopped (i.e. ITCM and CCS Services on EM/DM clusters Nodes).

  • Launch the setup by inserting ITCM r12 SP1 DVD.

  • Follow the installation wizard instructions.

  • If ITCM setup finds lower version of CCS installed on your system, it will invoke an interactive installation of CCS. Do not change any of the information in any of these dialogs, as ITCM has populated them with the appropriate values.

  • If CCS detects any active mdb connections/processes and shows up a message, please shutdown the corresponding processes and proceed with the installation.

  • After the successful upgrade of ITCM on active node, restart the machine as requested by ITCM Installer. If the installer doesn't ask for restart, restart machine manually.

Enterprise Manager(EM) Upgrade on Node B:

  • Make sure that Node B is active node and all the required cluster resources are assigned to it (it will become active automatically, as soon as Node A is restarted after ITCM upgrade).

  • Make sure that all the services that can access MDB are stopped (i.e. ITCM and CCS Services on EM/DM Active node and Passive Node).

  • Launch the setup by inserting the ITCM r12 SP1 DVD.

  • After the successful upgrade of ITCM on active node, restart the machine as requested by ITCM. If the installer doesn't ask for restart, restart machine manually.

  • Open the cluster administrator and bring the CCS Services online.

Follow the same steps for Domain Manager(DM) Upgrade.
