Issue/Introduction

I ran VLSUTIL BACKUP/FORMAT/RESTORE on a CA IDEAL VLS source file successfully but now my Ideal program compilation is failing with fatal error  

1 CMLX 41-F PROCEDURE source not found

 

Environment

z/OS CA IDEAL 14.0

Cause

VLSUTIL FORMAT was incorrectly run with NAMELEN=40 .

Resolution

Run VLSUTIL FORMAT with  NAMELEN=24
