Issue/Introduction

This document will identify why the CA Mainframe Software Manager Tomcat server (MSMTC) startup can yield a U4093 abend.

Ensure the userid assigned to the CA Mainframe Software Manager Tomcat task (MSMTC) has a valid OMVS segment and that the userid's OMVS HOME directory is valid and mounted as a read/write directory.

Cause

The userid assigned to the CA Mainframe Software Manager Tomcat task (MSMTC) does not have a valid OMVS segment and that the userid's OMVS HOME directory that is valid and mounted as a read/write directory.

Resolution

Ensure the userid assigned to the CA Mainframe Software Manager Tomcat task (MSMTC) has a valid OMVS segment and that the userid's OMVS HOME directory is valid and mounted as a read/write directory.
