Issue/Introduction

Not getting any alarms in NOTIFIER.OUT file using Spectrum Alarm Notification Manager (SANM)

Cause

The most likely root cause is the alarm is not passing a SANM filter.

Environment

Release: Any
Component:

Resolution

The alarm must pass at least one SANM filter in order for it to be passed to AlarmNotifier.

Verify the alarm and model meats the criteria to pass at least one SAM filter.

Additional Information

A common mistake is not understanding how the SANM filter works. When configuring a SANM filter, Spectrum applies a logical "AND" across the tabs. For example, Landscape AND Severity AND Collections etc.

For information inside a tab, Spectrum applies a logical "OR". For example, Critical OR Major OR Minor etc.

Please reference the "AlarmNotifier" and "Spectrum Alarm Notification Manager (SANM)" sections of the documentation for more information.
