Getting error messages when attempting to modify netViz 7.2 objects (Legacy KB ID CNC TS34451 )

Issue/Introduction

Description:

An error may occur when attempting to modify or delete a record in Excel. Deleting records using an Excel driver is not officially supported.

Possible error messages can include the following:

"database access error table hes...cannot expand named range"
"deleting data in a linked table is not supported by this isam"

Solution:

Ensure the connection to Excel is not read-only. If the problem continues, it is recommended that you migrate the data to Microsoft Access.
