How to change the SNMP Trap Port SPECTRUM uses to listen for traps
- Edit the $SPECROOT/SS/.vnmrc file.
- Set the "snmp_trap_port=" to a value you wish to have SPECTRUM listen to for incoming traps.
- Restart the SpectroSERVER for the change to take effect.
snmp_trap_port:
Specifies the port through which the VNM receives traps.
This command has the following format:
snmp_trap_port=162
where:
162 is the default port value.
NOTE: Devices configured to send traps to SPECTRUM will need to be reconfigured to sent traps on this new port.
NOTE: In some troubleshooting cases it might be desirable to change the port to stop trap processing temporarily
