Clarity: Over-Allocation % does not work in Power Filter on the Resource Planning page

Issue/Introduction

Description:

If you go to the Resource Planning page and create a power-filter using Over-allocation %, it does not return any results.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Make sure you have at least one resource whose time is over-allocated by more than 10 % and a second resource whose time is not over-allocated.

  2. Go to the Resource Planning : Workloads page.

  3. Click on Expand Filter.

  4. Click on [Build Power Filter] link.

  5. Select the Over-allocation % field from the drop-down.

  6. Choose >= for the Operator

    NOTE: It doesn't matter which operator you choose. None of them work.

  7. Type 10 in the Constant field.

  8. Click the Add button.

  9. Click the Submit button.

EXPECTED RESULTS: Users who are over-allocated by >= 10% should be displayed.

ACTUAL RESULTS: No results are shown.

TECHNICAL DETAILS:

This happens under both Oracle and MSSQL. Tested under 12.0.1, 12.0.5 and 12.0.6 on vanilla systems.

WORKAROUNDS:

Use the Over-allocation % field on the regular Filter page.

This issue has been documented as CLRT-51208 and is assigned to development for review. If you are experiencing this problem and the workaround above does not significantly help, please contact CA Clarity Technical Support.
