Auto update LDAP users in CA Business Intelligence

Issue/Introduction

Description:

CA Business Intelligence has been configured to use LDAP authentication. User has been added to the appropriate LDAP group which CA Business Intelligence has been synced with. Why does the new user not appear as a user within CA Business Intelligence.

Solution:

There is no auto update feature within CA Business Intelligence that will cause new LDAP users to be automatically created within CA Business Intelligence.

Once the new user has been added to the LDAP group to which CA Business Intelligence is synced with, you will need to do the following:

  1. Login to the CA Business Intelligence Central Management Console with an account with administrator privileges

  2. Select AUTHENTICATION

  3. Select the LDAP tab

  4. Click the UPDATE button at the bottom of the page

  5. Confirm that the new LDAP user appears in the BOXI user list
