Issue/Introduction

Description:

Details:

Some users expect that they can add their custom multi valued lookups attribute into the Project list column. It, however, cannot be added in the project list column by design regardless their Source or Object link configuration. The Project List column could be configurable via;

AdminTool -> Object -> Project -> Views -> Project List -> Layout
or
Application -> Project -> Actions -> Configure -> Layout.

The multi valued lookups attribute is not available in the Available Columns box and cannot not be added in the list column by design. This is also true for not only the Project but also other objects, such as Program, Portfolio or Idea which are available in the Object selection in AdminTool -> Lookups -> New.

Steps to Recreate:

An example for Project

  1. Go to AdminTool -> Lookups

    Create a new multi lookup with Project object link.

  2. Go to Application -> Project -> Actions -> Configure -> Layout

    (Or Go to AdminTool -> Object -> Project -> Views -> Project List -> Layout)

There is no new lookup attribute just created in 1) in the available list.

Expected Results:
The newly created custom multi valued lookups attribute is available in the available box.
Application -> Project -> Actions -> Configure -> Layout
(Or Go to AdminTool -> Object -> Project -> Views -> Project List -> Layout)

Actual Result:
The newly created custom multi valued lookups attribute is not available in the available box.
Application -> Project -> Actions -> Configure -> Layout
(Or Go to AdminTool -> Object -> Project -> Views -> Project List -> Layout)

Solution:

Workarounds:
The behavior is by design and there is no workaround.

Status/Resolution:
This issue has been documented as ERQ CLRT-53902.
