Issue/Introduction
On occasion, operators may see the CA Catalog Management message F7 0007 CADC001I WAITING FOR ENQUEUE DDNAME=CAICATL OWNER=(A,VSEA,AUDTUTIL) during normal operation. While it is possible to use DYNCAT to 'DEQUEUE', caution should be used.
The BEST PRACTICE for catalog maintenance is to perform DYNCAT BACKUP and other jobs that access the catalog for updates on one CPU and to curtail or minimize activity on the other systems. DYNCAT DEQUEUE should only be used when it is clear that no other jobs are running that have the catalog en-queued. Such a situation may occur, for example, when a system crash occurs, leaving the catalog en-queued.
