After integrating System Center Operations Manager ( SCOM) and Spectrum the alerts generated inSCOM are not being forwarded to Spectrum.Error in CONNECTOR_DEBUG.OUT: Starting event loop... Getting new/updated alerts from SCOM... Received 1 alerts from SCOM... Unable to create SCOM alert, no models were found with the nameabcd.in.corp.xyz.com.

Environment

Release: Any
Component: SPCINT

Resolution

Make sure the device/SCOM agents host names matches exactly in both SCOM and Spectrum. When the device is discovered as FQDN (fully-qualified domain name) in SCOM but in Spectrum it has a short name. This mismatch can cause the alerts not being forwarded to Spectrum from SCOM. The error related to his issue can be traced in CONNECTOR_DEBUG.OUT. Therefore, in order for the alert forwarding to work well, you must make sure the hostname of the device/SCOM agent matches exactly in both the applications.
