Issue/Introduction

Description

DETAILS:

If the applicationServerInstance and the webServerInstance for the nsa are located before the app in the properties.xml, email notifications for processes will reflect the entry url for the nsa instead of the app. This will cause users to be taken to the nsa login page instead of the app login page if they click on these links.

NOTE: Actions in the UI that result in email notification (i.e. adding someone to the team for a project) will show the correct URL.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Create a process with a step that has an action item.
  2. Set up email notification so that it works.
  3. Edit the Properties.xml for the server.
    1. Under the applicationServer section move the applicationServerInstance for the NSA to a postion before the applicationServerInstance for the app.
    2. Under the webServer section, move the webServerInstance for the NSA to before the webServerInstance for the app.
    3. Save your changes.
  4. Restart app and bg services.
  5. Run the process that sends an action item.
  6. Check the email notification for the user the action item was sent to.

EXPECTED RESULTS: The link for the action item shows the entryurl for the nsa and not the app.

ACTUAL RESULTS: The link for the action item should show the entryurl for the app.

Solution

WORKAROUND:

  1. Edit the Properties.xml for the server.
    1. Under the applicationServer section move the applicationServerInstance for the app to a position before the applicationServerInstance for the NSA.
    2. Under the webServer section, move the webServerInstance for the app to before the webServerInstance for the NSA.
    3. Save your changes.
  2. Restart app andbg services.
