Description:
After saving a netViz project which was edited over the network, error messages may appear indicating project corruption. This can occur during a save or the next time the project is opened. Another symptom often seen in this case is that objects names are substituted with "__??__" instead of the original value. This is caused by a change in network connectivity and can occur even in cases with minor network disruption.
Solution:
It is strongly recommended that projects stored on a network drive be brought down to the local machine prior to editing them. This will prevent the possibility of corruption due to network connectivity issues. If for any reason, you find that you have a corrupted project, please contact the netViz Support Team as soon as you can, so that we may attempt to fix the issue for you. We also recommend that projects be backed up daily and that the auto-save option be used.
