CA Performance Center fails With MySql error

Issue/Introduction

CA Performance Center installation fails, with the following errors

 

EXECUTE_STDOUT=MySQL server PID file could not be found![FAILED]

 

 

Starting MySQL..The server quit without updating PID file (/app/local/CA/MySql/data/mariska.pid).[FAILED]

MySQL Pre-Install phase - 5.7.14 or higher NOT already installed.

Environment

CA Performance Management, 3.0, and possibly previous versions

Cause

There is already a version of MySql installed on the system, before the CA Performance Center installation is initiated. And the version of MySql is not 5.7.14 or newer

Resolution

Remove the old version of MySql and attempt the CA Performance Center installation again
