Vinit initialization gets a 'TRAC104C - INITIALIZATION ERROR' message

Issue/Introduction

TRAC104C - INITIALIZATION ERROR' message is issued for VINIT initialization.   It is also possible that the VINIT task may abend due to module DBINFPR not being found in an APF authorized library and receive the following messages:

CSV019I REQUESTED MODULE DBINFPR  NOT ACCESSED, IS IN NON-APF LIBRARY/CONCATENATION                                                              
*CSV028I ABEND306-0C

Resolution

A 'TRAC104C - INITIALIZATION ERROR' is normally issued when the initialization of the Jobtrac  internals fail to load. The following items should be verified in order to get a successful initialization of the Jobtrac  internals:

1. Make sure  Datacom is active.
   
   
2. Make sure GSSA is active.
   
   
3. Make sure GSS is up and has '//JOBTRAC DD DUMMY' and STEPLIB for Datacom libraries and Jobtrac library.
   
   
4. Make sure the VINIT proc contains:
   
   '//JOBTRAC DD DUMMY' and STEPLIB for  Datacom libraries and  Jobtrac LOADLIB.
   
   
5. The following command must be used to initialize the  Jobtrac  internals:
   
   S VINIT,PARM=INIT                                                                               

  If the VINIT task is abending due to module DBINFPR not found in an APF authorized library, ensure that the Datacom CAAXLOAD library is APF authorized.  Also if the CAAXLOAD is in a STEPLIB concatenation, ensure that all libraries in the concatenation are APF authorized. 

 

Additional Information

If a previous release of Jobtrac  running on this system and  used the same token, you will need to issue 'S VINIT,PARM=BACK' to remove the previous internals that are pointing to the wrong checkpoint.
The TRACPARM DD in the VINIT proc should point to the correct  Jobtrac r11.0 PPOPTION data set.  The Jobtrac  PPOPTION data set member JOBTRA00 have the following run parameters:
