Issue/Introduction

Description:

The Team Allocations Data Provider 'Staff OBS Unit' attribute is not populated on the Unfilled Requirements portlet. This prevents the end-user from being able to filter for Roles by Staff OBS Unit.

Portlet Name: Unfilled Requirements
Portlet ID: projmgr.unfilledAllocations
System Provider: Team Allocations
Attribute: Staff OBS Unit

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Login as a Clarity Administrator
    Setup Data for Use Case:
    LaborRole100 / Resource OBS 1
    LaborRole200 / Resource OBS 2
    Project100 / Project OBS 1
    Project200 / Project OBS 2
    Project100 > Team Add Role100, Role200
    Project200 > Team Add Role100, Role200

  2. Go to the Unfilled Requirements Portlet
Main Application > Resource Planning > Allocations Tab
    Maximize the 'Unfilled Requirements' Portlet
Both Roles on Both Projects are shown as an 'Unfilled Requirement'

  3. From the [--Actions--] pull-down menu, select 'Configure'
Add the 'Staff OBS Unit' field to the List Layout
    Click 'Save and Exit' button
Notice, the 'Staff OBS Unit' column is empty

  4. From the [--Actions--] pull-down menu, select 'Configure'
Add the 'Staff OBS Filter' and 'Staff OBS Filter' attributes to the Filter Layout
    Click 'Save and Exit' button

  5. Attempt to filter for Staff OBS Filter = 'Resource OBS 1'
Expected Result: To see rows returned for Role100
    Actual Result: No rows returned

  6. Attempt to create a Power Filter using the 'Staff OBS Unit'

Expected Result: The Team Allocations data provider should have values in the Staff OBS Unit attribute.
Actual Result: The Team Allocations data provider does NOT have values in the Staff OBS Unit attribute.

Solution:

WORKAROUND:
None. Filtering for the Staff OBS Unit cannot be accomplished on a portlet with this data provider because the attribute does not contain
any value.

STATUS/RESOLUTION:
This issue has been documented and is assigned to development for review. If you are experiencing this problem and the workaround above does not significantly help, please contact CA Clarity Technical Support.
