CAS9236E API element DBINFPR not found - ENF aborting

Issue/Introduction

During startup of ENF the following messages are witnesses and the task ends with a RC=12: 

*CAS9236E - Req'd Datacom API element DBINFPR  not found - ENF aborting.
*CAS9237A - Have ENF support verify Datacom installation on this system.
CAS9203E - CA-ENF Initialization error - terminating
IEF450I ENF ENF - ABEND=S000 U0203 REASON=00000028

Environment

Opsys:  z/OS
Component: ENF

Cause

No Database was found based on the ENF control option defined.

It may not be necessary to run with an ENF database. ENF by default still makes DB calls causing ENF to terminate with the following messages and RC=12

Resolution

If an ENF database is not required in a given environment, then ENF control options 'NODB' and 'RECORD(NO)' must be set via the ENFPARM DD.

If the IMUF control option was coded in ENFPARM and you are running with an external database, remove the IMUF control card to allow ENF to expect an external database.
