Description:

The following messages were observed in the TPX LOG when starting TPX 5.3.

TPX501 LOG DATASET DYNAMICALLY ALLOCATED
TPX614 UNABLE TO ENQ VSAM LSRVADM2XXX. ENQ RETURN CO00000000XXX.

Solution:

With CA-L-Serv (CA Common Services) managing the TPX VSAM datasets, TPX 5.3 issues an informational VSAM enqueue message in the TPX LOG at startup.

The following messages are observed in the TPX LOG:

IEC131I 1,TPXSYST,TPXSYST,RDJFCB ISSUED FOR DCB WITH A BLANK DDNAME
TPX614 UNABLE TO ENQ VSAM LSRVADM2XXX.

ENQ RETURN CO00000000XXX.

A new enqueue for TPX 5.3 was added at startup to ensure that RESET INTEGRITY (sample member BATCHINI) is not run while TPX is active. With CA-L-Serv, this ENQ is not necessary since CA-L-Serv has already enqueued the TPX VSAM files.

These informational message may be ignored as they have no impact on TPX functionality.
However, in order to suppress these messages apply TPX APAR #: RO23129.
