Can you delete a program listing from PROTSYM file repository without running IN25UTIL batch utility program?
With SymDump Batch or Optimizer/II you can delete a program listing from the PROTSYM file repository using the repository viewer or the batch utility program IN25UTIL. The repository viewer SYM command allows you to manage PROTSYM members.
The steps below outline how to use the SymDump Batch or Optimizer/II SYM command to delete a program listing from the PROTSYM file repository. After starting repository viewer enter the SYM command in the command line and press the enter key.

When the pop up window below appears select option 1 and enter the PROTSYM file name in question and press the enter key.

You then enter the D line command next to the program listing you want to delete and press the enter key.

If this is the first time you are deleting a program from the PROTSYM file repository you will be prompted to enter a password. The default password is 12345678.
