Issue/Introduction

Description:

SAMP implements the functionality to delete granularity agent watcher objects from WorldView based on Event Console Messages, whereas NSM 11.2 SP2 implements the new functionality to delete granularity agent watcher objects from WorldView based on DSM policy.

Solution:

When SAMP is installed with NSM 11.2 SP2 and NSM is configured in aws_nsm.cfg to delete Granularity objects you must turn off the SAMP functionality to delete the granularity agent watcher objects to avoid conflicts.

To turn off the SAMP functionality:

  1. Change MRA with msgid=E2RADSDSM and set the status for EXTERNAL Action seq 100 to inactive.

  2. Run opreload.
    This will stop delete been executed.

  3. Update samp\config samp_evtAds_msgrec.dat and find msgid=E2RADSDSM and change status of seq 100 to inactive.
    This will stop it from being reset in the future.

Search for the following:

 define msgact
       name=(*,100)
       action="EXTERNAL"
       attrib="DEFAULT"
       synch='N'
       category="E2R E2RADSDSM"
       color="DEFAULT"
       condop="  "
       condrc=0
       evaluate='Y'
       node=" "
       quiet='N'
       status="ACTIVE"                        <===== change to inactive
       source="E2R PolicyPack"
       sim='N'
       text="sampDLL.DLL CDeleteObject &(2"
