Description:

This technical document explains how to deactivate the component CA-Event Syslog Reader when NSM starts up on UNIX platform.

Solution:

In order to disable the event log reader, you can edit $CAIGLBL0000/opr/scripts/rc and comment out the start of logrdr clause:

  # Start the logrdr
  #  if [ -f $CAIGLBL0000/bin/logrdr ]; then
  #         $CAIGLBL0000/bin/logrdr &
  #  fi
  #  LOG_STARTED=1
