Issue/Introduction

How to restrict the view of Service Desk Manager Problem Categories, Change Categories and Issue Categories based on the Category name?

When you want to base the views of problem categories, change categories, and issue categories on a category name, you can define a set of constraints in a Data Partition. Data partitions are located under the Security and Role Management node of the Administration tab. This document contains an example of doing so.

Service Desk Manager 12.x, 14.x and 17.x

All Supported Operating Systems

Resolution

The image below shows a Data Partition named Test that contains 3 constraints. Each constraint limits the data to categories with names beginning with the string of characters, "EMEA".
