Description:
During the installation of CA eHealth, the install exits with the following error:
@@@ <time> Installing MKS Toolkit... *** Setup exited due to fatal error *** NutCRACKER installation failed. Check error in %NH_HOME%\log\install\nutcInstall.log
The nutcInstall.log referenced in the CA eHealth install log shows this error:
******* Product: <path to install media>\nutcroot\oe\toolkit.msi ******* Action: ******* CommandLine: ********** MSI (s) (20:80) [<time>]: Note: 1: 2203 2: <path to install media>\nutcroot\oe\toolkit.msi 3: -2147286960 MSI (s) (20:80) [[<time>]: MainEngineThread is returning 1620 MSI (c) (AC:D0) [[<time>]: Decrementing counter to disable shutdown. If counter >= 0, shutdown will be denied. Counter after decrement: -1 MSI (c) (AC:D0) [[<time>]: MainEngineThread is returning 1620
If you run setup.exe manually from <path to install media>\nutcroot\oe it returns to the command line with no error and does not launch the MKS Toolkit install splash screen as it should.
Solution:
The problem is bad media which was corrupted either during download or while copying it to the CA eHealth system.
The solution is to re-download the CA eHealth install media.
