When looking at the DSM Explorer on the Enterprise Manager I do not see Heuristic Software data and/or data from the Additional Hardware inventory fields replicated from the Domain manager.

Issue/Introduction

When looking at the Enterprise Manager's DSM Explorer, you will not see Heuristic Software Data or any information from the "Additional" Hardware inventory that is on the Domain Managers which report to this Enterprise Manager.

By Default only certain items are replicated to the Enterprise Manager from the Domain Manager.

Items that fall under the "Inventory -> Additional" leaf of the DSM Explorer are not replicated to the Enterprise by default, and neither is Heuristic Software scan results.

Environment

CA Client Automation - All Versions.

Resolution

To replicate the items underneath the Additional leaf of the DSM Explorer to the Enterprise Manager:

  1. Browse to 'Domain/Computers and Users/All Computers/<ComputerName>/Inventory/Additional" in the DSM Explorer on the Domain Manager where this information is present.

  2. Right click on each of the components below the "Additional" tree that you would like replicated, and Select "Replicate To Enterprise".

  3. Select "Yes" when prompted in the dialog box

  4. Allow the Replication Engine task to run again and the data should now be replicated to the Enterprise Manager.

In order for Heuristic Software data to be replicated to the Enterprise Manager:

  1. Browse to 'Domain/Computers and Users/All Computers/{Group Details}/Software/Discovered' on the Domain Manager where the Heuristic data was captured.

  2. Right click on "Discovered" and select "Replicate Heuristic To Enterprise",

  3. Click "Yes" in the next dialog box that pops up.

  4. Allow the Replication Engine task to run again and the data should now be replicated to the Enterprise Manager.
