Error "AHD04760:Can't rename ddict.sch to ddict.sch.old at .\pdm_publish.pl line 503." is received when running pdm_publish.

Issue/Introduction

Description:

When running pdm_publish, the error message, "AHD04760:Can't rename ddict.sch to ddict.sch.old at .\pdm_publish.pl line 503" is received and publishing of the schema changes fails. The error is likely due to a problem with the permissions of the logged-in user.

Solution:

When the user is not a local administrator, and does not have "Full Control" permissions on the "Service Desk\site" folder, the error occurs.

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

1. Right-click on the "Service Desk\site" folder.
   
   
2. Select "Properties".
   
   
3. Click on the "Security" tab.
   
   
4. Click on "Users"
   
   
5. Click in the "Allow" checkbox next to the "Full Control" permission. See Figure 1.

You should now be able to run the pdm_publish command successfully.
