Description:
With the ZOSMETRICS ZPARM set to 'YES' some DB2 subsystems are reflecting zero values for both the Real and Virtual Storage fields DB2 and %DB2, while some DB2's have correct values for these fields.
Example of a valid display:
LPAR DB2 %DB2 Free %Free Real storage (MB)... 2049 29 6.3 827 40.4 Virtual storage (MB) 7613 145 1.9 5912 77.7
Example of an invalid display:
LPAR DB2 %DB2 Free %Free Real storage (MB)... 2049 0 0.0 824 40.2 Virtual storage (MB) 7612 0 0.0 5909 77.6
The native SMF data also reveals zero values for both the QWOSDRSU and QWOSDVSU STATS record fields that are used to populate the R/SYSZOS CA Insight panel.
Solution:
This is an IBM problem related to the DB2 subsystem name being 3 characters in length. If this situation is encountered please contact IBM for the proper solution.
