Issue/Introduction

Description:

error message during startup of Sysview:
GSVX031E (DATALIB) LOAD failed for module CCS@ZE01, module not found
GSVX031E (AUDIT) LOAD failed for module CCS@ZE01, module not found

GSV4110E (DATALIB) zIIP Task initialization failed RC=00000008
GSV4110E (AUDIT) zIIP Task initialization failed RC=00000008
GSV4110E (SCHEDULR) zIIP Task initialization failed RC=00000008

Solution:

To resolve the issue where the GSVX031E message is received for module CCS@ZE01, then you need to make sure the CA Common Services component CAIRIM, subcomponent zIIP Enablement Service is installed. This can be accomplished in one of three ways:

Install PTF RO27636 is required for CCS for z/OS r11

Install PTF RO27110 is required for CCS for z/OS r12

Install CCS for z/OS r14

If your system doesn't have any zIIP processors (evident by the GSV4110E RC=08), set 'zIIPEnable NO' in OPTIONS PARMLIB. Keep in mind, if you add zIIP processors and want SYSVIEW to take advantage of them, then you will need to change the parameter back.

With regards to zIIP enablement for the SYSVIEW main address space,
OPTIONS PARMLIB contains the following:

zIIPEnable           Yes

* zIIPEnable controls whether or not eligible workload is to be scheduled for dispatching on a zIIP processor.
* The default is YES. - Simply change this to NO and all should be quiet.
