Issue/Introduction

In the CICS System Initialization Table (SIT), if you specify the Top Secret keyring name in the KEYRING= parameter, the following error occurs:

DFHPA1909 SYS1  DATA xxxxxxxx IS INVALID FOR KEYWORD KEYRING=. RESPECIFY KEYWORD AND DATA.

Resolution

In the CICS SIT, the value specified for the KEYRING= parameter must be the KEYRING LABEL, not the KEYRING NAME. In certain situations, only 8 characters may be used as the KEYRING= parameter, so it may be advantageous to keep the KEYRING LABEL to a maximum of 8 characters.
