Description:

How do I apply the Emergency Key Generator(EKG) on VSE?

Solution:

There are two separate methods of applying the Emergency Key Generator(EKG) on a VSE operating system.

First Method:

Catalog the new EKG key into the CALMPKEY. A member as the first uncommented line of the file.

Run this batch job:

//EXEC CAIRIM

Second Method:

Release a pause into a partition.
Respond to the paused partition with the following command.
pid EXEC CAIRIM,PARM='EKGP'
Respond to the next message with the following command.
pid EKG(xxxxxxxx)

Note: where xxxxxxxx is the EKG provided by CA.
