Clarity: Load Data Warehouse job fails with error in domain update

Issue/Introduction

We are getting variations of an error in the DWH logs:

Error occurred while processing domain attributes.

 

The job can fail with different the error depending on what object it fails on first.


Error occurred while processing domain attributes. Could not update attribute [xxxxx] of object xxxxx to domain xxxxx
OR
Error occurred while processing domain attributes. Resource /ca_ppm/domains/CSK_PRJ_Management_files/schema.xml not found.

Note: This can happen on any domain or attribute

Resolution

This is a schema synchronization issue between PPM and DWH where the ETL job completes, and the Jaspersoft part fails on domain update.



To resolve the issue please do the following:

1. Restore domains: 

For versions 15.2.0.3 and below, run the command: admin content-jaspersoft csk restoreDomains -userName superuser -password 'XXXXXX’

For versions 15.2.0.3+, run the Restore Domains job from the Reports and Jobs page  (You can also run the command above if you prefer, the job will do the same action from UI)
 

Note: Before applying the solution please ensure you do not have any customizations applied to the domains or custom domains under CA PPM folder.
