Description:

The performance in generating the Resource Assignment Report is very poor. In our sample, large database, the report took approximately 3 hours to generate.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Login to Clarity using a large dataset with many resources assigned to many tasks
   
   
2. Main Application > Reports and Jobs > Available Reports: Resource Assignment
   Parameters:
   Start Period: Beginning of last month
   Resource OBS: Select an OBS with many resources
   Period Type: Weekly
   Group By: Project
   Execute the report as 'Scheduled'

Expected Result: The Report should complete in a reasonable time.
Actual Result: The report completed in approximately 3 hours.

The new Clarity Solution Pack 3.1 has four new reports that serve as replacement reports for the Resource Assignments report. We did the four separate reports for more flexibility in generating useful output.

These are the four reports in CSP r3.1 that replace the previously released Resource Assignments Report (ID = RPT_PPM_ResourceAssignments)

• Investment Allocations and Assignments (ID = CSP_INV_AllocationAssignment)
• Investment Assignments by Task (ID = CSP_INV_AssignmentsByTask)
• Resource Allocations and Assignments (ID = CSP_RES_AllocationAssignment)
• Resource Assignments by Task (ID = CSP_RES_AssignmentsByTask)
