Question:

If renaming a PROFILE or user acid using with a:

   TSS RENAME(xxx) ACID(yyy)

and refresh the CA Cleanup database, will the Cleanup tracking/statistical information be lost?

Answer:

To retain the information, you will have to manually modify the Cleanup tracking database using the following steps:

  1. ISPF EDIT the DB dataset

  2. Issue: X ALL                                                   to exclude all records

  3. Issue: F PROFILE 20 ALL                                to reveal PROFILE and PROFILES recs

  4. Issue: C <oldname> <newname> NX ALL     to change only the revealed recs

When using ISPF EDIT, don't forget to issue the PRESERVE ON command to avoid losing trailing blanks.
