ORA-24550: signal received? WARNING! *** STACK TRACE ABORTED *** WARNING! *** UNREADABLE FRAME FOUND ***
When using the Oracle 11g R2 Client on a Linux 32-bit operating system, there is a bug in the Oracle client which can result in abnormal behavior and the following errors in the AutoSys event_demon log file:
ORA-24550: signal received: [si_signo=11] [si_errno=0] [si_code=1] [si_int=4951905] [si_ptr=0x4b8f61] [si_addr=0x221f81f9] sskgds_getcall: WARNING! *** STACK TRACE ABORTED *** sskgds_getcall: WARNING! *** UNREADABLE FRAME FOUND *** sskgds_getcall: invalid fp = 0x622f0073 kpedbg_dmp_stack()+255<-kpeDbgCrash()+66<-kpeDbgSignalHandler()+151<-skgesig_s igactionHandler()+214<-dbgrgpi_get_prodinst_id()+112<-622F 6E69
This may be accompanied by one or more EVENT_HDLR_ERROR errors.
This has usually been resolved by either switching to use an Oracle 10 client or adding the following setting in the sqlnet.ora file:
Adding this setting has the added bonus of allowing unhandled exceptions to provide a normal error stack which can assist in investigations.
Oracle patch 8670579 corrects this problem.
Additional Oracle bugs # 7308054 and 8563289 may be related as well.
AutoSys 11.0 SP4 Incr1 contains updated binaries which have also resolved similar Scheduler crashes due to problems in OCI calls.
