Issue/Introduction

It is possible to encounter an 806 ABEND for module CAE$INIT when executing the CAS9 (CAIRIM) procedure.

Environment

Component: ENF

Resolution

The following initialization statement is no longer applicable and should not be used:

PRODUCT(CA-ENFDB) VERSION(DB10) INIT(CAE$INIT)

This module is associated with the older format CAIENF database and is no longer delivered starting with the ENF release 12.

Even at the previous release of ENF this initialization statement was not necessary as it was a throwback to SP systems.

The abend can be ignored as it will have no impact on current functionality.

The appropriate CARIMPRM member being referenced in the CAS9 PROC should be edited to remove the above statement.
