Issue/Introduction

Description:

Instance and OBS Unit Security rights are correctly classified as 'Team Member' license type for the right 'Project - Risk, Issue, Change Request - Create/Edit'. The Global Security Right 'Project - Risk, Issue, Change Request - Edit - All' is classified as a 'Manager' license type ; it should be classified as a 'Team Member' right.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Login as a Clarity Administrator

  2. Admin Tool > Resources > Create a new Resource 'Resource1' - do not add any security rights

  3. Main Application > Projects > Team > click 'Add' button > select 'Resource1'
    If 'Resource1' logs in and navigates to the specific project, the end-user cannot see the 'Risks/Issues/Change Requests' tab

  4. Admin Tool > Resources > 'Resource1' > Instance Rights > select the rights to Create/Edit Risks
    Click 'Add' button > Object = Project > click 'Next' button
    Select 'Project - Risk, Issue, Change Request - Create/Edit'
    Click 'Add and Continue' button
    Select the specific project instance > click 'Add'

  5. Admin Tool > License Information > Click 'Team Member' link
    'Resource1' is listed > Click 'Resource1' name link
    'Resource1' is listed because this is the highest License Type for this resource is 'Team Member'
    Instance Security Right 'Project - Risk, Issue, Change Request - Create/Edit' is classified as a 'Team Member' license type

  6. Admin Tool > Resources > 'Resource1' > Instance Rights
    Select 'Project - Risk, Issue, Change Request - Create/Edit'
    Click 'Remove' button

  7. Admin Tool > Resources > 'Resource1' > Global Rights
    Click 'Add' button
    Select 'Project - Risk, Issue, Change Request - Edit - All'
    Click 'Add' button

  8. Admin Tool > License Information > Click 'Team Member' link
    'Resource1' is not listed

  9. Admin Tool > License Information > Click 'Manager' link
    'Resource1' is listed > click 'Resource1' name link

Expected Result: The Global Security Right 'Project - Risk, Issue, Change Request - Edit - All' should be classified as a 'Team Member' license type.
Actual Result: The Global Security Right 'Project - Risk, Issue, Change Request - Edit - All' is classified as a 'Manager' license type.

Solution:

WORKAROUND:

None. The License Information portlets are used to help determine licensing. Make a notation of the rights and manually adjust your counts when working with your account team and reference this documented issue.

STATUS/RESOLUTION:

This issue has been documented as CLRT-62395 and will be targeted for a future release.
