Issue/Introduction

Description:

We use Windows clients. Where do I find the descriptions of the runtime reason codes ? What does these mean: "Internal Fatal Error: Failed to load DLL progname, reason code 182", "Internal fatal Error: Failed to load DLL program, reason code 998" ?

Solution:

You can find error codes in the "error.h" in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\VC\PlatformSDK\Include folder.

The reason code 182 is explained in this library. It is ERROR_INVALID_ORDINAL which could be due to usage of an incorrect version of a Gen dll.

About the reason code 998, it is not part of the errors listed in error.h. It is from Windows.

The explanation is ERROR_NOACCESS which means : Invalid access to memory location.
