When browsing the folder structure in Business Objects Infoview, a 'Session Timeout' error is received. How can this be corrected?


In the majority of cases when the 'Session Infoview' error is received while using Business Objects (BOXI) Infoview, one of the following two solutions will resolve the issue:

  1. On the Business Objects server via the Central Configuration Manager (CMC), restart the Business Objects Apache Tomcat and Server Intelligent Agent (SIA) services.

  2. Within ServiceDesk, the WEB_URL Web Report option is not set correctly (usually there is either a trailing front-slash character ('/') or a space) so ensure that the WEB_URL option is in the format http://<BOXI Server Hostname>:<BOXI Tomcat Port> (i.e. http://boxi:8080). After making the change, recycle the ServiceDesk service for the change to take effect.
