When a charge code is selected and the 'Close' button is clicked to close it for time entry from the Admin > Project Management > Charge Codes List page, any task that previously had this charge code assigned now shows a blank value in the charge code field. Updating the Charge Code through the properties page is ok.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a new charge code (ex. 'Regular Non-Project Hours') > mark as 'Open for Time Entry'

  2. Create a new task, assign this charge code

  3. Administration > Project Management: Charge Codes

  4. Select/check the charge code from the list of charge codes > click 'Close' button

<Please see attached file for image>

    Figure 1

  5. Look for the charge code for the task again.

Expected Result: The charge code is still shown for the task.
Actual Result: The task now shows a blank charge code.

Mark the charge code close for time entry from the charge code properties page, not the list page.

  1. Administration > Project Management: Charge Codes
  2. Click the Charge Code name link to show the properties page
  3. Change from Open to Close for Time Entry
  4. Click 'Submit' button
