Issue/Introduction

Question:

Can a static device be associated with another device so application programs with one coded access the other, without changing the application program? Also, can a delete be processed by CA-ETM for a Statically (OLD) defined LTERM?

Answer:

ETO and ETM are intended only for dealing with Dynamic devices. You cannot assign a statically defined element to one that is dynamically created or delete a statically created device.
